Kishtwar: Continuing its sustained efforts towards the welfare of people residing in remote and underserved areas, Indian Army conducted a Women Health Camp at village Chhatru, District Kishtwar of Jammu and Kashmir with an aim of promoting health awareness and providing essential medical support to women in the remote area. The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local population, with 30 women benefitted from the initiative. During the camp, women were provided with general health check-ups, medical consultations, basic diagnostic services and free medicines. Special emphasis was laid on women specific health issue, nutrition, hygiene and preventive healthcare, ensuring holistic care and guidance.
The medical team also interacted with the participants to spread awareness about early detection of common ailments, maternal health and the importance of maternal medical check-ups. The initiative was well received by the local community, who expressed their gratitude towards the Indian Army for its continued support and outreach. Such welfare activities reflect the commitment of Indian Army towards community development and strengthening civil military relations, while contributing to the overall wellbeing of the people in the region.DD
