Udhampur :TDD- Local residents of Udhampur city have approached Congress Block President Rajesh Gupta to raise their concerns about the contaminated drinking water being supplied to the area for several days. Expressing strong displeasure against the Jal Shakti Department, Gupta highlighted the serious health risks posed by the situation, particularly concerning as the city is already witnessing a rise in dengue cases.
During the meeting with concerned citizens, Gupta criticized the department’s negligence in addressing this critical issue. He emphasized that while dengue cases are increasing in the region, the supply of contaminated water could lead to additional severe health complications among residents. The Congress leader expressed deep concern over the department’s apparent lack of interest in resolving this pressing matter affecting public health.
Taking a firm stance, Rajesh Gupta issued an ultimatum to the Jal Shakti Department, stating that if the contaminated water supply issue is not resolved immediately, they would be forced to organize protests against the department with residents from all wards,TDD
