Kishtwar, DD, In a significant organizational development, the Indian National Congress inaugurated its new Block Office in Kishtwar, marking another step towards expanding its grassroots presence in the region.
The inauguration was led by senior Congress leader Sheikh Ghulam Haider, accompanied by JKPCC General Secretary P.L. Shan and JKPCC Secretaries Sheikh Irshad Ahmed and Firdous Mingnoo.
Block President Noor Hussain Lone extended a warm welcome to the senior leadership and party workers, expressing gratitude for their continued guidance and support.
Addressing the gathering, Sheikh Ghulam Haider lauded the dedication of local workers and congratulated Noor Hussain Lone for his proactive leadership. He emphasized that the new office would serve as a hub for strengthening the Congress organization, coordinating public outreach, and mobilizing support for democratic causes.
He further urged party workers to spread awareness about Rahul Gandhi’s campaign against “Vote Chori” (vote theft) and to actively participate in the nationwide signature drive launched to expose electoral irregularities and defend democratic values.
Prominent leaders present at the event included P.L. Shan, Sheikh Irshad Ahmed, Firdous Mingnoo, Ravi Shan, Anas Mujtaba Munshi, and Nayar Aamin Butt, along with a large number of party functionaries and workers such as Usman Bagwan, Manzoor Ahmed Bagwan, Ghulam Ahmed Bagwan, Ghulam Mohd Ganie, Imtiyaz Ahmed Dar, Chahat Umar, and others.
