Congress Party delegation visits Warwan, meets fire victims

Inderwal,TDD, A delegation led by Iftkhar Ahmed, MLA Rajouri and general secretary, Pradesh Congress Committee along with other members today visited the fire affected village Mulwarwan in Inderwal Assembly segment to meet the victims and take stock of the relief and rehabilitation measures.
The committee was constituted by the J&K Congress Party Chief Tariq Hameed Karra.
The delegation consisted of Sham Lal Bhagat, Ex-MLC, General Secretary PCC and Sheikh Zafarullah, contesting candidate Inderwal.
The delegation visited the fire-affected areas in Warwan in District Kishtwar to assess the situation and offered support to the victims and their families.
Their visit was prompted by a devastating fire that swept through Mulwarwan village, gutting scores of homes.
Iftkhar Ahmed demanded immediate relief and long-term support for rehabilitation, including housing assistance under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
He further demanded the establishment of two new fire service stations in Warwan and Marwah to prevent similar incidents in the future.TDD
