Udhampur :TDD, Congress workers staged a major protest outside the DC office on Dhar Road in Udhampur, led by Senior Congress leader Sumit Magotra. The demonstration came in response to the administrative detention of Katra Sangharsh Samiti members.
The protesters voiced strong opposition to both the Shrine Board and the administration, particularly focusing on the ropeway project. Demonstrators argued that the implementation of the ropeway project would lead to widespread unemployment among local youth in the region.
Speaking during the protest, Sumeet Magotra demanded the immediate release of the detained Katra Sangharsh Samiti members. They issued a warning that failure to release the detainees would result in a call for a complete shutdown in Udhampur. The protesters also pledged to join forces with the Katra Sangharsh Samiti in future demonstrations and expressed their determination to prevent the installation of the ropeway project.TDD
