Karra chalks out party’s strategy

Jammu: DD, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has decided to launch a campaign for the long standing demand of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement issued here today, Tariq Hameed Karra, chief of the JKPCC, held a meeting with the Congress Coordinators for different districts of Jammu province, to review the organizational affairs and activities.
The meeting was also arranged to devise future strategy for intensifying the movement for restoration of statehood in the coming days on the eve of coming Parliament Session.
The meeting decided to launch a massive outreach programme to seek the cooperation and support for the ongoing movement of the party “Hamari Riyasat, Hamara Haq” for the intensification of restoration of statehood movement.
The party decided to intensify the movement on the eve of coming Parliamentary Session from July 21st to compel the centre government to move for restoration of full statehood to J&K and pass the bill for full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting unanimously decided to strengthen the district, Block and Booth Committees and rejuvenate the committees wherever required, without delay.
Meanwhile, PCC President Tariq Hameed Karra appreciated the efforts of district co-ordinators for supervising the activities and programmes and submitted their reports.
Karra also asked senior functionaries and leaders to frequently visit the party headquarter and different areas to meet party workers and to listen and highlight the public issues.
He said that Congress is committed to fight for the restoration of statehood which is the legitimate regret of the people of J&K but being denied to them by the centre without any justified reason.
He further said that all people of J&K are suffering due to double control systems are working simultaneously at the expense of peoples’ sufferings. Time has come to fulfil the promise made on the floor of Parliament and before Supreme Court.
He asked party colleagues to go the masses and awake, educate and unite them to fight for their right, status and dignity and support congress movement for statehood.
The Congress shall approach different political social, trade organizations to support congress struggle for restoration of Statehood, in the coming days.
