Major Anti-Terror Operation by SIA in Jammu Province (May 23)
On May 23, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) of the J&K Police launched a major offensive against the terror support ecosystem in Jammu province. Coordinated raids were carried out at 18 locations across four districts, leading to the recovery of a large cache of incriminating material.
The simultaneous operations were meticulously planned and executed with support from local police and magistrates. The objective was to uncover and dismantle sleeper cells and disrupt terror-support structures.
Twelve of the targeted locations were in the Surankote subdivision and three in Haveli tehsil of Poonch district. Additional raids were conducted in Rajouri town, Ramnagar in Udhampur district, and Ramban.
The seized material has been secured according to legal protocols and is currently under detailed examination. Several individuals have been summoned for questioning as the investigation progresses.
Officials confirmed that the raids were based on actionable intelligence developed through sustained surveillance and analytical efforts aimed at neutralizing covert terror operations in the region.
