Jammu:TDD,- In a significant development, the Special Judge Anti Corruption Jammu has returned the challan for further investigation in a high-profile case involving the alleged misuse of official position in the allotment of a fair price medical shop at Govt Hospital Sarwal. The court expressed serious concerns about the casual approach of the investigating agency and passed strictures against them.
The case revolves around allegations that officers and officials of the District Hospital Sarwal, in collusion with the proprietor of M/s Rajinder Medical Hall, manipulated the terms and conditions of the tender process to favor the latter. The investigation revealed that the construction of the shop was deliberately delayed, and a makeshift arrangement was made to benefit M/s Rajinder Medical Hall without any payment.
The court observed that the investigation was conducted in a perfunctory manner, leaving several crucial questions unanswered. The investigating officers were criticized for their casual approach and lack of diligence. The court has directed the Director ACB to take cognizance of the matter and ensure a thorough investigation.TDD
