Jammu: DD, In a firm step to tackle noise pollution and unsafe driving practices, Jourian Police have intensified their action against motorcycles fitted with illegally modified silencers.
These modifications often produce excessively loud noises, including sharp bangs resembling gunfire, causing public nuisance and raising serious safety concerns.
During the enforcement drive today, police seized three Bullet motorcycles with modified silencers and ten other bikes for various violations under the Motor Vehicles Act.
Alongside strict enforcement, the police have also launched a special awareness campaign to educate riders about traffic rules and the dangers of negligent riding.
The Jourian Police have urged all motorists to abide by traffic regulations and refrain from using modifications that endanger public safety.DD
