Jammu, DD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Crime J&K, Dr. Sunil Gupta, inaugurated a grand workshop on financial investigations at Crime Branch Headquarters, Channi Rama, Jammu. The workshop was organized by the Crime Branch (CB) in collaboration with an expert senior officer who has work experience with CBI Jammu, to enhance investigative skills in tackling financial crimes.
Investigating officers (IOs) from the Crime Branch and other agencies actively participated, sharing their experiences and legal viewpoints. The workshop aimed to strengthen their expertise in financial investigations, particularly in dealing with white-collar and organized crimes.
DIG CBI Vidyut Vikas, IRS, delivered an insightful lecture, sharing his experiences as an investigating officer in CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED). He emphasized the importance of patience and determination while conducting financial investigations.
Other notable experts who delivered lectures included SSP CICE J&K M. Yaseen Kitchloo (IPS), Joint Director Prosecution CHQ Laeeq Ahmad, and SI Abhinandan Singh.
Earlier, SSP Crime Jammu Benam Tosh and SO to IGP Crime Amarjit Singh formally received IGP Crime J&K and DIG CBI at the venue.
Addressing the participants, IGP Crime J&K Dr. Sunil Gupta urged officers to strive for excellence in investigations by maintaining professionalism, leveraging the latest technology, and employing scientific methods to ensure that financial criminals are swiftly brought to justice.
The workshop marked a significant step in strengthening financial investigation capabilities in J&K, equipping officers with the necessary skills to combat emerging financial crimes effectively.DD
