Reasi :TDD,A tragic incident occurred in Reasi district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday when a CRPF assistant sub-inspector, Rajnath Prasad (55), allegedly shot himself with his service rifle.
The incident took place inside a makeshift CRPF picket along the Tarakote route leading to the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra. Prasad, a resident of Bihar, succumbed to his injuries on the spot. Upon hearing the gunshot, his colleagues immediately responded, only to find him lifeless.
Police have initiated an inquest to investigate the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event. The motive behind Prasad’s tragic action is currently under investigation.TDD
