Udhampur, DD:- The 137 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) initiated a significant educational program at the CRPF Group Centre in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir. The tour flagged off program “Watan Ko Jaano” (Know Your Country) was inaugurated by Ram Singh, DIG CRPF Jammu Sector, in the presence of distinguished officials including Vivek Bandrala, DIG CRPF Jammu North , and Amod Ashok Nagpur, Senior Superintendent of Police, Udhampur.
The program involves 20 students, 2 teachers, and 2 CRPF personnel from Shaheed Inspector Kamal Singh Govt. Model Higher Secondary School (Boys), Udhampur. The educational journey, starting from 137 Battalion CRPF camp, will take participants through Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Dehradun via rail and road routes. The itinerary includes visits to significant locations such as the Ganga Aarti in Haridwar, the Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun, the Survey of India, Botanical Gardens, and various war memorials and historical sites.
The event was attended by various CRPF officials including Commandant-137 Battalion Manoj Kumar Sirkon, Commandant 187 Bn Mohd Sajid , and local dignitaries, This initiative demonstrates CRPF’s commitment to fostering national integration and cultural understanding among the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
