MENDHAR:DD, Under the aegis of Romeo Force, basic computer classes were organised by the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion for women of Harni under Op Sadbhavna. Closing ceremony of the same was conducted in Mendhar.
This project was aimed at empowering young girls through education and skill development, is a testament to the Army’s commitment to the welfare of the local populace and women empowerment.
The computer classes, conducted by the Indian Army, provided a platform for girls from far-flung areas to acquire essential computer skills, bridging the digital divide and opening of new avenues for their future. The initiative is part of the Army’s broader efforts to promote education, women empowerment, and community development in the region.
The initiative empowered girls from remote areas, providing them with a foundation in computer skills and enhancing their employability. The classes were conducted under a certified National Skill Development Council (NSDC) affiliated centre. The initiative promoted digital literacy among the local population, bridging the gap between urban and rural areas.
