Srinagar, (TDD): The Cyber Police of Sopore have made significant strides in combating online financial fraud in 2024, recovering Rs 22,23,343 and preventing the loss of Rs 37,14,988 through swift action against fraudsters.
Throughout the year, the Cyber Cell received 113 complaints related to fraudulent bank transactions. With relentless efforts, the Cyber Police not only recovered a substantial amount of money but also managed to stop further financial losses, showcasing their commitment to protecting the public from online scams.
In addition to financial fraud, the Cyber Police successfully resolved several social media crime cases, highlighting their ongoing vigilance in the ever-evolving digital landscape.
The Sopore Police continue to urge the public to exercise caution while engaging in online transactions and remain vigilant against digital frauds. (TDD)
