Mendhar, Poonch,DD,In a significant step toward fostering stronger ties between the administration and the public, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Shri Vikas Kundal (IAS), and Senior Superintendent of Police Poonch, Shri Shafket Hussain (JKPS), convened an interactive session with members of civil society, religious leaders, political representatives, and social activists of Sub Division Mendhar at Dak Bungalow, Mendhar.
The engagement aimed to enhance coordination between the administration, police, and local communities in addressing civic and developmental concerns. Key topics of discussion included the delivery of public services, maintenance of law and order, traffic management, youth engagement, and infrastructure development.
DC Poonch reiterated the administration’s commitment to inclusive and participatory governance. He emphasized the crucial role of public cooperation in sustaining peace, promoting unity, and driving regional development.
SSP Poonch highlighted the significance of community participation in ensuring a peaceful environment, especially in a strategically important area like Mendhar. He appealed to local influencers to actively counter misinformation and promote harmony across communities.
