Kishtwar,TDD,In a significant move to ensure the smooth flow of traffic in the township of Kishtwar, the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Sh. Rajesh Kumar Shavan (JKAS), has declared the stretches from DC Office to Malipeth and Girinagar to Kuleed Chowk as no parking zones.
The initiative is aimed at mitigating traffic congestion and promoting hassle-free movement within the town.
As part of the enforcement drive, a Joint team led by ACR Kishtwar, Sh. Idrees Lone (JKAS), in coordination with EO Municipality Kishtwar Mumtaz Mirza, Naib Tehsildar Kishtwar, SHO Kishtwar, and DTI Kishtwar, conducted a comprehensive crackdown on unauthorized street vendors and traffic violations in the town area under the overall Supervision of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar.
Key Items seized during the crackdown included 12 Rehris (handcarts),14 beds,
20 crates,5 wooden rehris ,aimed to evacuate the illegal occupation along the National Highway in the town area.
In addition to this,
34 vehicles were challaned, 2 vehicles were seized and a total fine of ₹29,500 was realised from violators.
ACR Kishtwar has issued a strict warning to the public, emphasizing that any violations, including illegal parking, will attract stringent penalties.TDD
