DC Kishtwar Reviews Functioning of Jal Shakti Department, Directs Strict Action Against Illegal Water Connections

Kishtwar,DD, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Sh. Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS), today chaired a review meeting of the Jal Shakti Department to assess the functioning of the water supply distribution system in Kishtwar town and its peripheral areas.

During the review, the DC issued strict directions to the field staff for maintaining transparency and accountability in service delivery.

He directed them to ensure immediate removal of all illegal connections from the gravity line and take corrective measures to prevent misuse of water resources.

Teams have been constituted to disconnect illegal connections and ensure distribution of water to only legal consumers.

The Deputy Commissioner further emphasized the need to rectify all hindrances on priority and ensure uninterrupted and equitable water supply to the general public.

He reiterated that providing reliable drinking water is a top priority of the district administration.

The meeting was attended by ADC Kishtwar Pawan Kotwal, ACR Kishtwar Idrees Lone, AEE Jal Shakti Kishtwar Rahul Kotwal besides other senior officers and field staff of Jal Shakti Department.DD
