DC Kishtwar Reviews PWD Projects.

Kishtwar,TDD,The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Sh. Rajesh Kumar Shavan,JKAS took a comprehensive review to assess the progress of Public Works Department (PWD) projects across various subdivisions of the district.

The meeting primarily focused on district capex and other ongoing works.

DC Kishtwar expressed concern over delays from certain contractors, emphasizing the need for accountability and quality in execution. Key projects reviewed included the lane work at District Hospital Kishtwar, construction of a library at Higher Secondary School (HSS) Kishtwar, renovation of High School Shiroti and others.

During the review, DC Kishtwar stressed strict adherence to financial expenditure guidelines, and said that notices should be served to contractors for rectification of identified defects.

Contractors have been given a three-week timeframe to address these issues.

Further, the Deputy Commisioner underscored the importance of achieving 100% progress in both financial expenditure and physical work, with a particular focus on maintaining quality standards across all projects.

The meeting was attended by ExEns besides concerned AEEs and AEs.TDD
