Leh, DD, The Deputy Commissioner Leh Romil Singh Donk (IAS) convened a crucial meeting of District Health Society Leh, to review the status of healthcare delivery and discuss strategies to improve health services in the district, on July 11 in VC Room, DC office leh .
During the meeting, District Program Officer NHM gave a elaborated report on the updated contract draft agreement. The agreement follow-up with contractual Appointment, Renewal Option, Annual Increment Provision, Security Deposit Clause, Notice Period Requirement, Leave Entitlement and other provisions.
Key discussions also held regarding the waiting list of nurses. CMO Leh Dr Dolma Chuskit confirmed that the waiting list is 50% capacity and remains valid for one year, allowing for timely replacements if staff departures occurs mid-term. She also informed the DC about the details of village ambulances and their drivers along with their wages. Executive Engineer PHE highlighted issues regarding geothermal heating systems at SNM Hospital.
DC Leh suggested key modifications to the draft agreement. He also suggested that appointees under NHM will be entitled to leave as per the provisions of the State Health Society, UT Ladakh. In addition, he asked officials to explore housing options for hospital staff under the Public Infrastructure Plan. DC Leh also directed the team to identify sustainable technical solutions for these issues.
