Emphasises pedestrian safety, plans new development projects during town Visit

POONCH, TDD,NOVEMBER 20: District Development Commissioner Vikas Kundal today visited key locations in Poonch town, focusing on infrastructure and cleanliness initiatives.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by ACR Poonch, Tehsildar Haveli, EO Municipality, members of the Beopar Mandal and other administrative officers and officials assessed the drainage system and various municipal points at the bus stand. The DC stressed the critical need for maintaining cleanliness in public areas, which is essential for health and hygiene, especially in busy market zones and also noted the challenges pedestrians face due to obstructions created by shop displays spilling onto walkways.
The Deputy Commissioner urged shopkeepers to keep their displays within shop boundaries to facilitate easier movement for pedestrians. Discussions also centered on a new project aimed at improving market conditions, ensuring a more organized and accessible environment for local residents and visitors alike.TDD
