DC Ramban conducts surprise visit

RAMBAN, DD, Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, today conducted a surprise inspection of Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Banihal to assess the availability of healthcare services being provided to the public. During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the overall functioning of the hospital, inspected different sections, and took a firsthand account of the availability of medical services and facilities. He personally interacted with patients and attendants to get direct feedback on the healthcare delivery system.

The DC visited various wards, checked cleanliness, patient care facilities, and directed the Block Medical Officer Banihal to ensure that patients are provided with quality healthcare. He emphasized the importance of maintaining round-the-clock services, ensuring availability of doctors and paramedical staff, and keeping essential medicines and diagnostic services fully functional.

The Deputy Commissioner directed BMO to utilize available space and infrastructure to augment the bedding capacity of hospital to facilitate the patients. He also directed BMO to ensure effective implementation of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) – Ayushman Bharat and to make sure that patients avail free medical treatment.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by SDM Banihal, Mohammad Naseeb Bajraan, Tehsildar, SDPO, and BMO Banihal during the inspection.DD
