RAMBAN, DD, Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan today convened a meeting of concerned officers and religious leaders to finalize the arrangements for the celebration of Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W), here today.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Arun Gupta, Additional Deputy Commissioner Varunjeet Charak, ACR, Shokat Hayat Mattoo, and other concerned officers besides various Mufti and Imams of various Masjids besides representatives of muslim community attended the meeting.
DC held a comprehensive review of arrangements related to sanitation, water and power supply, security, traffic management, market regulation, and availability of essential commodities.
He directed the officials of PDD and Jal Shakti Department to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply.
Similar instructions were also issued to the Health Department for providing health care facilities. Executive Officer MCs were directed to make all cleanliness arrangements in the market, especially around the mosques and repair of defunct streetlights ahead of the festivities.
To curb profiteering and ensure availability of quality essentials, the Food Safety department was instructed to conduct joint intensive market inspections in coordination with Revenue, Police, and Legal Metrology officials.
