Ramban, TDD, District Development Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, today chaired a DLRC meeting to review the performance of banks in the district.
Additional District Development Commissioner Roshan Lal, GM DIC Ravinder Kumar, ACR S. Harpal Singh, representative from RBI Amit Kumar, LDM Khursheed Ahmed Malik, CAO, CHO, ACP, CAHO, DSHO, DDM NABARD, DO KVIB, AD Fisheries, BDOS and Bankers attended the meeting.
Ramban’s CD ratio increased by 1.42%, reaching 67.18%. Rs 172.60 crore was spent on the priority sector, achieving 31% of the 551 crore ACP target. The non-priority sector achieved during 2024-25 is 233.58crore.
Focusing on implementation of Youth oriented schemes to provide more job opportunities to local youth; the DDC expressed concern over the priority sector’s underperformance and instructed banks to provide detailed data on beneficiaries. He urged swift action on loan cases under schemes like PMEGP, KCC and MUMKIN to benefit local youth.
He directed to increase the achievements in Agriculture and allied sector upto local level. He also stressed on to engage Youth and focus on unemployed locals under various central and state sponsored schemes.
He also directed the GM DIC to hold meetings with all stakeholders to set the targets with the strategy to achieve the 100% performance under government sponsored schemes besides increasing the number of cases, directing market-relevant training, market and financial linkages.
Banks were directed to submit loan rejection cases details and ensure 100% achievement in government schemes against the target. Collaboration between BDOs and banks was emphasized to extend banking services, especially to remote areas and motivating youth to avail the maximum benefits from the schemes.
He also reviewed the Prime Minister’s Social Security Schemes including PMMY, PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY in all panchayats of the district.TDD
