Directs 100% target achievement and timely expenditure

RAMBAN, DD: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of the developmental works under the District Capex Budget 2025-26, Constituency Development Fund, Tribal Affairs Plan, Road Safety Plan, SASCI, SANJY and initiatives for the Revival of Heritage Sites across the district.
The Deputy Commissioner conducted an extensive sector-wise and scheme-wise evaluation of the ongoing works and directed the departments to achieve 100% physical as well as financial targets within the stipulated timelines. He emphasized the need for timely execution, noting that the limited working season due to winter demands accelerated progress on projects of public importance.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Rather, Chief Medical Officer, Executive Engineers of PWD (R&B) Ramban and Banihal, PMGSY Ramban and Banihal, REW and other concerned officers.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed BDOs and sectoral officers to ensure completion of all SOS works and expedite the accord of Administrative Approval (AAA) within the given timeframe. He further directed officers to submit the Saving Plan under the District Capex Budget by Wednesday without fail.
Stressing the importance of financial discipline, the Deputy Commissioner directed all departments to record expenditure on every work including SOS projects by November 30, 2025. He also instructed the Executive Engineers of PWD Ramban and Banihal, besides REW Ramban to submit weekly expenditure reports to ensure transparent monitoring.
Additionally, the Executive Engineer Jal Shakti and Executive Engineer PWD were directed to achieve 70% financial progress under SASCI by December 15, 2025.
The Deputy Commissioner urged all departments to work in close coordination and ensure timely, quality-driven execution of development works to meet the aspirations of the people of Ramban.DD
