Udhampur,DD :-Saloni Rai (IAS) Deputy Commissioner Udhampur sent her warm greetings to all women on the day of Women’s Day. She stressed how women are progressing very fast with the passage of time and pointed out some government schemes for women, such as ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ (Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child), Prime Minister Employment Guarantee Scheme, and NRLM (National Rural Livelihood Mission).
Rai mentioned that women are taking an active part in these schemes and noted that in newly approved schemes, the eldest woman of the family is usually made the beneficiary. She said that women empowerment is evident in all sectors. The Deputy Commissioner summed up with an inspiring message for all women, urging them to follow their ambitions with determination and not allow anyone else to guide their aspirations, declaring, “It is your life, your dreams, and you should try to achieve it.”DD
