DCPU Kargil, AKSAD Concludes Five-Day Workshop on Career Guidance and Life Skills

Kargil, DD, The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) Kargil successfully concluded a five-day workshop held from 24th to 29th June 2025, in collaboration with the All Kargil Students Association Delhi (AKSAD). The program focused on career guidance and life skills development to children residing in Child Care Institutions (CCIs).

During the five days workshop, the volunteers from AKSAD had provided training to the students of Bal Ashram and Sweet Home Kargil on poster making, painting, science experiments, sports and other activities.

The closing ceremony featured the distribution of appreciation certificates to AKSAD and the Student Welfare Association Chandigarh in recognition of their dedicated career counselling sessions during the workshop. Certificates of participation were also presented to SWEET Home Kargil for their active involvement and commitment to the program’s success.

Certificates were awarded by the Protection Officer (Institutional Care), representing the District Child Protection Officer (DCPO) Kargil.

The event was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Manzoor Hussain Councillor, Soth, Mr. Anwar Ali Assistant Information Officer, and Mr. Hassan Assistant Professor, who commended the collaborative efforts to empower youth and strengthen capacity-building in the district.

In his concluding remarks, the Protection Officer (Institutional Care) highlighted the vital role of such initiatives in guiding and supporting children, especially those in CCIs, to envision and build a brighter future. He emphasized the importance of creating safe, supportive, and enriching environments where children can develop the skills and confidence needed to achieve their aspirations.DD
