DDC Poonch inspects OP Hill Stadium Mendhar –Venue for November 15 grand event

POONCH, DD, District Development Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma today visited OP Hill Stadium-Mendhar to review the preparations for the upcoming 150th Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas celebration.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Tahir Mustafa Malik; PO ICDS Khalid Wafa; SE PwD Kewal Kumar; SDM Imran Kataria, besides other district and sectoral officers accompanied the District Development Commissioner.

During the visit, the DDC took a comprehensive review of the arrangements being made for the event. He emphasized the importance of timely and well-coordinated efforts to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the celebration.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to make elaborate arrangements in advance, including the setting up of departmental and food stalls, stage decoration, provision of medical facilities, security measures, traffic management, uninterrupted power and water supply etc. He also stressed the need to maintain cleanliness and ensure public convenience during the event.

The DC further directed the stakeholder departments to finalize the list of cultural programme and sports activities for the day.

The DDC urged the officers to work in close coordination to make the celebration a grand success. The visit reflected the district administration’s commitment to celebrate Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas with enthusiasm and reverence, highlighting the invaluable contributions and rich heritage of the tribal communities.DD
