Kathua,TDD, A one-day training program for Counting Supervisors and Counting Assistants, was conducted under the supervision of District Election Officer (DEO) Dr. Rakesh Minhas at the Conference Hall, DC Office Complex, Kathua.
The session aimed at equipping the staff with in-depth knowledge of the protocols to be strictly followed during the vote-counting process, with special focus on the counting of Postal Ballots.
Dr. Minhas emphasized the importance of accurate accounting procedures, especially when handling Postal Ballots, and provided clear guidelines on valid reasons for ballot rejection.
Key aspects of the vote-counting process were clarified during the training, addressing any doubts the participants had. The DEO urged all attendees to adopt a transparent, diligent, and unbiased approach throughout the counting process, ensuring that every legitimate vote is accurately recorded.
Participants were thoroughly briefed on their specific roles and responsibilities, ensuring they are well-prepared for a smooth and efficient counting process.
