Kishtwar, DD,An impressive event was organized today by the Social Welfare Department, marking the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Programme at district Kishtwar.
The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of Girl Students and NCC Cadets of Various Schools and Colleges, Staff of Parisha-Hime for Girls,Staff of DSWO office besides others.
ALC Kishtwar Smt. Mamta Sudershan, JKAS and BDO Trigam Smt. Chandan Manhas,JKAS were the Special Guest on the occasion.
During the occasion, the Special Guests highlighted the significant improvements in women’s education, women’s empowerment, and child sex ratios achieved over the past ten years. They also emphasized that the district administration is committed to furthering these initiatives through a series of week-long activities aimed at promoting the goals of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme.
District Social Welfare Officer Zubair Ahmed spoke about the programme, outlining plans for various community engagement activities throughout the week to raise awareness about the critical importance of educating and uplifting girls.
He called on all citizens to participate actively in these efforts, reinforcing the message of the programme that aims to protect and empower the girl child.
The event also featured Beti Bachao Beti Padao pledge administered to the students of Various schools,colleges and NCC cadets.
Also a Special Cake Cutting Ceremony along with cultural performances was held at the “Parisha-Home for Girls” to commemorate the 10 Year celebration of BBBP initiative.
The overwhelming participation marked the success of initiative in the district.
