Udhampur: DD, A deputation of Parli Dhar Block in Udhampur District led by Sagar Verma, BJP OBC Morcha District President met District Development Commissioner (DC), Udhampur, Saloni Rai and put forth the burning issues of that area for redressal.
As per the press release, the deputation demanded conservation, upgradation and beautification of Gurseri Lake in Dhanwalt Panchayat which is in 25 kanals shrinking day by day under the tourism department.
They also demanded construction of approach road from bus stand Dhanwalt to the lake site, transfer of state land in khasra no. 332 in Balhand Panchayat for construction of a mini-sports stadium for the youth of Parli Dhar the land has been identified by the commission under Naib Tehsildar Ramnagar at Khanki Mitti on the roadside of Dhanu- Rang Road.
During the meeting, Sagar Verma also brought in the notice of DC Udhampur about the successful geo- tagging of PMGSY roads in this remote block in consultations with the local public which will provide connectivity to leftover hamlets and Ramnagar to Dhar road Majalta via Chountra Mata in Ramnagar to Sewna- Jansal – Bharnada which was long pending demand of Majalta, Parlidhar and Ramnagar.
Meanwhile, he also appreciated the Deputy Commissioner for successfully completing all the allotted works of the rural development department in this block timely by the efforts of officers/officials of RDD and the public also rendered their full support.
Verma also briefed the arrangements being made for the annual Chountra Mata Yatra 2025 and requested her to please participate.
After giving them a patience hearing, the DC Udhampur issued necessary directions to the concerned officials. Hukum Chand Sharma, Kuldeep, Rajinder Singh and Dev Raj were the part of the deputation.DD
