Jammu ,DD:- The workers of Dogra front &Shiv Sena under the leadership of president Ashok Gupta took out a massive rally in Jammu city against the 16 deaths in Rajouri sub Divison Kotranka’s village baddhal.
The outbreak has caused widespread panic in Badhaal village, with residents increasingly worried as the illness continues to claim lives, including those of children. The situation is worsening as the fatalities are not limited to a single family, leaving every household anxious about the health of its members.
The symptoms observed in victims include high fever, excessive sweating, vomiting and episodes of loss of consciousness. Despite extensive medical interventions, the precise cause of the illness remains unidentified
The tragic sequence of events reportedly began on December 8, 2024, when Mohammad Fazal and his four children died. This was followed by the deaths of three children from another family, led by Mohammad Rafiq. Rafiq’s pregnant wife also passed away on December 23, reportedly due to medical negligence.
Gupta criticised the Omar Abdullah-led government for its “negligent response” to a series of mysterious deaths in Badhaal village, Rajouri.
The head of the government opted to send his ministers, who also failed to visit Badhaal. Instead, they held meetings at Kotranka and departed without genuinely addressing the situation, which indicates a lack of seriousness on their part.
The party president further stated that why the reports have not been send to AIIMS delhi or PGI Chandigardh if the GMC was not able to identify the neurotoxin. So many precious lives have been lost as the GMC was unable to recognise the root cause of the problems and if someone from the GMC would have been pro active these lives could have been saved by referring the the AIIMS delhi.
The SIT formed by the govt is a mere eye wash and the case should be given to the CBI as the cause of the death has been suspected to be a neurotoxin.
The party people who were present at the time of protest were Abhishek, Ganesh, Prem, Vivek, Vikky, Bantu, Naresh, Shiv, Rampal, Vinay, Garu and various others were present.
In the remote Badhaal village of Kotranka in Rajouri district, where life is already fraught with challenges, Mohammad Aslam mourns the devastating loss of his five children and a maternal uncle to a mysterious illness that struck his family like a relentless storm. Now left with his only surviving daughter, who is critically ill, Aslam and his wife live in despair.
Aslam said his children were healthy until last Sunday when they began showing symptoms of minor vomiting and fever. They were rushed to the hospital, but six out of seven, including his five children and his maternal uncle, succumbed to the illness.DD
