Stresses Inter-Agency Synergy and Technology-Driven Surveillance

Akhnoor, (DD): In a concerted effort to bolster border security and strengthen coordination among security forces, the Director General of Police (DGP) Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, IPS, on Wednesday visited the Buchohemandi Viewpoint in the strategically sensitive Akhnoor Sector along the Line of Control (LoC).
Accompanied by senior officers from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and the Indian Army, the DGP’s visit underscored the security establishment’s emphasis on heightened vigilance and operational readiness in areas vulnerable to infiltration and cross-border threats.

The review was conducted in the presence of IGP Jammu Zone Bhim Sen Tuti, IPS, IGP CRPF Jammu Sector Gopala K. Rao, IPS, DIG JSK Range Shiv Kumar Sharma, IPS, SSP Jammu Joginder Singh, JKPS, and senior Army officers deployed in the sector.
The DGP received a detailed briefing from Army officials on the existing security grid, with a focus on border vulnerabilities, surveillance mechanisms, JKP-Army coordination, and response preparedness of deployed units.
Focus on Synergy and Technology
During the field inspection, the DGP laid special emphasis on real-time intelligence sharing, technology-driven surveillance, and inter-agency synergy to protect sensitive border zones like Akhnoor—an area historically susceptible to cross-border infiltration and smuggling.
The senior leadership’s presence from multiple security agencies reinforced the focus on joint operational readiness and proactive measures to prevent any security breaches along the LoC(DD)
