Jammu, DD, The Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, undertook a comprehensive visit to the border areas of Jammu district today. He was accompanied by DIG Jammu–Samba–Kathua Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma , SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh , and other senior officers.
The DGP commenced his tour in the RS Pura sector, where he visited several key Border Out Posts (BOPs) including Octroi (Suchetgarh), Kharkola, as well as the border police posts at Baspur Bangla and Agra Chak. During these visits, he interacted with jawans of the Border Security Force (BSF) and Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), commending them for their dedication and service on the front lines.
Following the RS Pura inspection, the DGP proceeded to Police Station Kanachak and Border Police Post Sandwan, where he continued interactions with officers and personnel.
Acknowledging the commendable role of JKP during the recent Indo-Pak conflict, Prabhat praised the officers for their swift and effective response in managing the situation in the border villages. He highlighted their critical efforts in the timely evacuation of civilians, which, he noted, helped save numerous lives.
The DGP also paid tribute to the courage, resilience, and sacrifice of BSF personnel deployed along the international border in Jammu, expressing gratitude for their role in ensuring national security and delivering a resolute response to cross-border threats(DD)
