Srinagar, (DD): Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP), Nalin Prabhat, on Friday directed security forces to identify vulnerable points in the security apparatus and strengthen coordination to effectively respond to evolving security challenges.
Chairing a high-level security review meeting in South Kashmir, the DGP was joined by senior officials from the Army, CRPF, BSF, and J&K Police. The review focused on ongoing security operations, especially in the backdrop of the ongoing Amarnath Yatra.
Prabhat commended the unwavering dedication of all forces in maintaining peace and ensuring the safety of pilgrims. He stressed the importance of regularly rehearsing contingency drills, refining response strategies, and plugging operational loopholes—often referred to as “grey areas.”
He further underlined the need for relentless anti-terror operations in the hinterland and dynamic, real-time responses to any potential threat.
The meeting concluded with a collective commitment to tighten security mechanisms and enhance inter-agency synergy across the region.(DD)
