Kishtwar, (DD)Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, today visited the Singhpora–Chatroo area in Kishtwar district, where a joint anti-terror operation is currently underway. The operation is being conducted by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of J&K Police, in close coordination with the Indian Army and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
The DGP was accompanied by IGP Jammu Zone Bhim Sen Tuti and DIG Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban Range Shridhar Patil. The senior officers conducted a comprehensive review of the operational strategy and assessed the on-ground situation with officers leading the mission.
The visit came in the wake of a brief exchange of fire earlier in the day, after which a large-scale search operation was launched to flush out the terrorists hiding in the dense forests and rugged mountainous terrain of the region.
Senior officers, including the SSP Kishtwar, along with personnel from the Army, CRPF, and J&K Police, are stationed at the encounter site to ensure seamless coordination and swift operational execution.
During his visit, the DGP personally interacted with the deployed forces, commended their efforts, and issued firm instructions to neutralize the remaining terrorist threat with precision and caution. He emphasized the need for continued vigilance and coordination to ensure the safety of civilians and security personnel alike.
Praising the synergy among all participating forces, Shri Nalin Prabhat reaffirmed the J&K Police’s unwavering commitment to peace, security, and the elimination of terrorism through sustained and focused counter-insurgency operations.(DD)
