Dharti Aaba Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan Concludes in Kargil with Focus on Community Outreach

Kargil: DD, The month-long Dharti Aaba Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan, Awareness and Benefit Saturation Camp 2025 concluded successfully in Kargil with a formal closing ceremony held at the Auditorium Hall.

The event was attended by Executive Councillor for Tourism Kacho Mohammad Feroz, Executive Councillor for Agriculture Aga Syed Mujtaba, Deputy Commissioner and CEO LAHDC Kargil Rakesh Kumar, SSP Kargil Shri Ram R., along with officials from various departments.

In his address as Chief Guest, Executive Councillor Kacho Mohd Feroz lauded the efforts of the district administration and line departments for conducting the campaign effectively. He highlighted community participation as a core pillar of the initiative and noted that beneficiaries were not only registered but also made aware of various government schemes.

“LAHDC remains committed to supporting the administration in the effective implementation of development projects,” he stated.

Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Kumar emphasized that a key objective of the campaign was to ensure tribal populations received the benefits of targeted schemes. He added that the high number of registrations during the drive demonstrated the campaign’s effectiveness.

“Grievances documented during the camps will be addressed on a priority basis in a phased manner,” he assured.

Programme Officer ICDS, Nargis Banoo, delivered the keynote address, outlining how the campaign reached every village and block of the district. She noted that the ICDS department served as the nodal agency and coordinated efforts with all departments to ensure doorstep delivery of services.

A detailed presentation on the campaign’s impact was given by Mansoor Hussain from ICDS, who informed that 112 camps were conducted across 14 blocks.

The ceremony also featured distribution of residence certificates to beneficiaries. Dignitaries were felicitated with plant saplings as a symbol of appreciation. Information stalls were set up by participating departments to guide attendees about available government schemes.

ACR Kargil Jehangir Akhoon delivered the vote of thanks, and Dr Anwar Ali Tsarpa from the Information Department conducted the proceedings.DD
