DIG DKR RANGE HOLDS PEACE COMMITTEE MEET IN DODA

Doda:DD, A peace committee meeting was held at the District Police Office (DPO) Doda. The meeting was chaired by the Dy. Inspector General of Police, Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban Range, Shridhar Patil- IPS , and along with Dy. Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh-IAS, and SSP Doda, Sandeep Kumar Mehta- JKPS, Addl. DC Doda, DySP hqrs Doda, Tehsildar Doda and SHO PS Doda.

Over 40 respected citizens of Doda city participated in the meeting, where several key grievances were brought to light.

Among the primary concerns raised were the urgent resumption of relief efforts for the victim of recent rains and flash floods, restoration of normalcy in the district in view of the recent situation.

The participants expressed serious concerns about the ongoing situation, deliberated in threadbare, provided suggestions and urged the authorities to take immediate action to restore the normalcy in the district and restart the relief process for affected.

The community members also reassured the authorities that they would continue to uphold peace and brotherhood in Doda, ensuring that no untoward incidents would occur in the coming days.

The meeting was seen as an important step in fostering open dialogue and confidence building measures between the administration, police and the local community, with all sides working together to address concerns and ensure long-term peace and stability in the district. During the meeting, the Dy. Inspector General of Police, Patil, along with the Dy. Commissioner and SSP Doda emphasized the positive role played by society in maintaining peace till now, in-depth analysis and suggestions put forth for ensuring peace for shared, progressive futures and appealed to the citizens to maintain peace and strengthen the spirit of brotherhood within the district.DD
