Srinagar,DD: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) South Kashmir Range, Javed Ahmad Matoo has reviewed the security situation of South Kashmir during a high level meeting with the police, paramilitary and intelligence officials.
The meeting was held at Range Police Headquarters Anantnag under the chairmanship of the Deputy Inspector General of Police, South Kashmir Range. The meeting was attended by DIGs Operations CRPF Anantnag /Awantipora, nodal officers of CRPF, all district SSPs of South Kashmir Range and the representatives of the central intelligence agency.
The discussions focused on the prevailing security scenario in South Kashmir, particularly in the aftermath of the recent terrorist incident.
As per the statement, detailed assessments were made regarding emerging threats, winter security preparedness, and coordinated response strategies.
During the meeting, an emphasis was laid on maintaining seamless synergy among all security forces, enhancing intelligence sharing, and ensuring heightened vigilance and proactive measures on the ground.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmed commitment by all agencies to work in close coordination to ensure peace, public safety, and overall security across South Kashmir Range.DD
