Kathua/Samba :TDD, In light of the prevailing security scenario in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, DIG JKS Range, Shiv Kumar IPS, today undertook a comprehensive security review of Samba and Kathua districts. During his visit, the DIG met with SOG components, SDPOs, and SHOs to assess their preparedness for anti-terrorist operations.
In Samba district, the DIG visited AIIMS, Vijaypur Town, and Samba town, accompanied by SSP Vinay Kumar, ASP Garu Ram, DSP Rohit, DySP Bhisham, and SDPO Mukund IPS. Additionally, he inspected the Border Area BSF post at Paharpur in Kathua district, alongside SSP Kathua Shobit Saxena IPS, ASP Rahul Charak, DSP Ops Tilak Raj Bhardwaj, and held a meeting with BSF officials.
The DIG also reviewed the security measures at various Interstate Police Posts along the Punjab border. He emphasized the directives of DGP JK Nalin Parbhat IPS, stressing the need for heightened security alert and readiness for operations against terrorists. He further instructed all SSPs, ASPs, and SDPOs to conduct regular searches in forested areas where terrorist presence has been suspected, in coordination with the Army and CRPF.TDD
