KISHTWAR: DD, The civil administration led by Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar, Pankaj Sharma today reached out to the cloudburst hit Margi village in Marwah Sub Division of Kishtwar District.
The Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar, Pankaj Sharma, SSP Kishtwar, Naresh Singh, DDC Sheikh Zaffar Ullah, SDM Marwah, SDPO Vijay Bhardwaj, and other officials from different departments reached out to the cloudburst hit villagers in Margi.
The DC listened to problems of the people, and accordingly, he on-spot instructed the respective departments for the redressal of the problems faced by the people following the cloudburst.
Pertinently, four days back, the village was hit by a deadly cloudburst that washed away cattles, livestocks, buried their ration, and damaged their houses, making the majority of the people homeless.
The people had complained that none had approached them post-cloudburst leaving them to the mercy of God.
The Diplomat Digital on August 29 had reported extensively about Margi village in a detailed story, highlighting the concerns of the villagers, their concerns and suffering that prompted immediate response from the authorities.DD
