Disaster Response Drill Organised in Ramban to Enhance Readiness

Ramban: In a bid to strengthen disaster preparedness and improve inter-agency coordination, the Indian Army, in coordination with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), conducted a Disaster Response lecture, demonstration and drill at HSS Mohu, Ramban.
This initiative aimed to enhance the community’s readiness in the face of natural calamities. The exercise included comprehensive demonstrations on key disaster management procedures such as search and rescue, casualty evacuation and emergency response.


These practical demonstrations were designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to act swiftly during a disaster.
The event also reaffirmed the Indian Army’s pivotal role as a first responder, providing crucial support to civil authorities during emergencies.


The drill was well-received by local authorities and the community, who expressed their appreciation for the Indian Army’s continuous efforts to improve disaster response mechanisms and ensure the safety of citizens during natural disasters.
This collaborative exercise underscores the importance of preparedness and unity between the Indian Army, SDRF and local authorities in effectively managing emergency situations and saving lives.DD
