District Administration Ramban Intensifies Sewa Parv with Multi-Sector Activities across the District

RAMBAN, DD: District Administration Ramban, under the aegis of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, intensified the ongoing Sewa Parv celebrations by organizing a series of activities across the district to promote community welfare, environmental protection, and social awareness. Various departments and institutions actively participated to ensure inclusive outreach at the grassroots level.

At Banihal, a specialized health check-up camp was held at CHC Banihal. Simultaneously, free medical camps were organized at Ayushman Arogya Mandir Tethar, Chapnari, and Mahakund (Sub-division Gool), focusing on preventive healthcare, maternal and child health under Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan, and awareness about hygiene, nutrition, vaccination, and mental well-being.

As part of Swachhata Hi Seva, a large cleanliness-cum-plantation drive was held by the Sub-Divisional Administration at Mazimkund Ground, Gool. The officials, students, and locals emphasized cleanliness and plantation as essential for ecological balance and community health, urging youth to sustain these efforts.

Meanwhile, the Social Welfare Department held awareness programs on flagship welfare schemes such as Marriage Assistance, Old Age Pension, and Widow Pension, targeting women, children, senior citizens, and specially-abled persons. Essential aids including walking sticks were distributed among beneficiaries, with officials underlining inclusivity and social justice as the core values of Sewa Parv.

    The Forest Department marked the occasion with cleanliness drives across various locations, stressing the need for public cooperation to protect green cover and maintain ecological harmony.

Educational institutions including GDC Banihal and GDC Gool organized campaigns on drug abuse in collaboration with the Health Department, along with distribution of books and stationery, cleanliness drives, painting competitions, debates, and discussions to sensitize students on their role in building a progressive society.

The Rural Development Department also mobilized block-level activities under Swachhata Hi Seva, drawing enthusiastic participation from youth and local communities.

The district-wide Sewa Parv activities are dedicated to the spirit of service, strengthen social harmony, and advance the vision of a clean, healthy, and progressive society.DD
