DLSA organizes 3rd National Lok Adalat at District Court Complex Leh

LEH: DD, Justice Sindhu Sharma Judge High Court of J&k and Ladakh and Executive Chairperson Ladakh Legal Services Authority, virtually inaugurated the said the 3rd National Lok Adalat through virtual mode.
Present on the occasion were Manoj Parihar Member Secretary and Principal District and Sessions Judge Leh, Tsewang Phunstog Ld. CJM Leh, Phuntsog Angmo Secretary DLSA/ Special Mobile Magistrate Leh, Lakshay Badyal Munsiff Nubra, Senior Prosecuting officers, President Bar association Leh Mohd Shafi, Executive members and other members of the bar, Legal aid Defense Counsels, Panel lawyers, Court staff, PLVs and litigants.
On the occasion, Justice Sindhu Sharma mentioned that although the people of Ladakh are peace loving but keeping in view the harsh climatic condition and remoteness and vastness of the region, it is imperative upon the legal fraternity to resolve the grievances of the public through various ADR methods. Her Ladyship also appreciated the efforts of legal services in this regard. She stressed upon the need to make the masses legally aware and to take maximum benefit out of Lok Adalats.
A total of 06 Benches were constituted in the said National Lok.


Adalat viz. Bench No. 1 comprising of Mr. Manoj Parihar, Pr. District and Sessions Judge Leh and Adv. Nema Stanzin. Bench No.2 comprising of Tsewang Phuntsog, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Leh and Adv. Siddharth Norboo. Bench No. 3 comprising Phuntsog Angmo, Special Mobile Magistrate, Leh and Adv. Thinles Angmo, Bench No. 4 comprising Assistant Commissioner Revenue Leh and Tehsildar, Leh. Bench No.5 comprising of Lakshay Badyal, Munsiff Nobra with Adv. Ajaz Hussain and Bench No. 06 at Khaltsi comprising of Sayed Tayoub Bukhari, Munsiff Khaltsi.
The cases pertaining to Bank Cases, Recovery matters, Matrimonial. Cases, Criminal Compoundable Cases, Civil Case, Labour disputes etc. were taken up and disposed of in the National Lok Adalat.
A total of 267 cases were taken up by the different benches, out of which 223 cases were disposed of, total settlement amount was Rs. 94, 82, 756 (Rupees Ninety Four Lakhs Eighty Two Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Six only,DD
