Udhampur :TDD, In anticipation of high-profile VVIP visitors to Udhampur district on September 26 and 27, 2024, District Magistrate Saloni Rai has issued an order declaring the entire district a no-drone flying zone.
The order, enacted under Section 163 of the BNSS 2023, prohibits the use of any unmanned aerial vehicles, drones, or balloons during the two-day period.
This security measure aims to strengthen safety protocols during the VVIPs’ visit. The restriction will be in effect from 10:00 AM on September 26 until 6:00 PM on September 27, 2024.
The District Magistrate has empowered the Senior Superintendent of Police, Udhampur, to enforce this order strictly. Any violations will be subject to legal action under Section 223 BNS and other applicable laws. The order was issued ex-parte due to the urgency of the situation, as permitted under Section 163(2) of the BNSS, 2023.
