Doda, (DD): Highlighting the district’s robust security measures, Doda SSP Sandeep Mehta reaffirmed the readiness of police and CRPF forces to tackle terror threats in the district
He stressed that the forces are strategically deployed in areas where terrorist movement has been detected, ensuring a proactive approach to safeguarding peace.
“Our police parties, along with the CRPF, are well-prepared and stationed in areas where suspicious movements have been witnessed. This vigilance is part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety of the district,” SSP Mehta stated.
Reflecting on last year’s achievements, SSP Mehta highlighted the success of two key anti-terror operations conducted in 2024, during which four militants were eliminated. He noted that these operations demonstrated the effectiveness of coordinated action and intelligence-sharing between security forces.
“Our operational success is a testament to our relentless efforts to neutralize threats and maintain stability in the region. We remain focused on identifying and addressing potential risks before they can escalate,” he said.
Mehta also warned about the persistent attempts by neighbouring countries to radicalize Indian youth through various channels. “Our neighboring country has been trying to cajole our nation’s youth through any medium possible. This is a deliberate strategy to destabilize our society, but we are actively working to counter it,” he explained.
He emphasized the importance of community engagement and awareness in preventing radicalization, calling for cooperation from local communities to help identify and thwart such attempts.
SSP Mehta concluded by reiterating the unwavering resolve of the security forces to maintain peace in Doda.
“Our efforts are not just about operations but also about building trust and ensuring the long-term safety of our youth and communities. We will continue to work tirelessly to protect the integrity of the region.”
