Jammu :TDD,The workers of Dogra front & Shiv Sena under the leadership of President Ashok Gupta took out a massive protest rally in Jammu city by burning the effigy of Muhammad Yunus against the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh.
Chinmoy Krishna Das was arrested from the Dhaka International Airport by the Detective Branch of the Dhaka Police on Monday in connection with a sedition case filed a month ago.
A day later, a lawyer was killed during clashes between the security personnel and followers of Hindu community leader Das, who was denied bail and sent to jail by a Bangladesh court. He also stated that trade with Bangladesh should be stopped until attacks on Hindus stop.
The party president stated that Stop import-export if attacks on Hindus don’t stop. A leader who is a member of (Muhammad) Yunus govt is saying such things about India. Why don’t they go to Karachi and Lahore for medical treatment then? Why is the entire Opposition silent on this issue? Bangladeshi Hindus will stay in Bangladesh, and they will have to be given protection by their government. Gupta has condemned the attack on Hindus in Bangladesh.
This frenzied Islamist mob driven by bloodlust mistook assistant public prosecutor Saiful Islam Alif for a Hindu and hacked him to death.
The death of the 35-year-old Alif triggered frenzied attacks on Hindu homes, properties and temples by rabid mobs. The police also joined in the mayhem that is still continuing.
He further stated that Areas in Chittagong which have a concentration of Hindus like Patharghata Mathar Potti, Andarkilla and Hazari Goli became targets of the Islamists and police. Later in the evening, uniformed personnel of the Bangladesh Army also joined in the attacks in the name of maintaining law and order.
Bangladesh relies on India for essential commodities like medicines and onions. India can use this dependence as leverage to warn Yunus that any further escalation of the situation will have serious consequences for his administration. Even a temporary halt in the export of cotton to Bangladesh could deliver a powerful message by crippling the country’s readymade garment sector, a key source of foreign exchange for Bangladesh, which is already facing a mounting financial crisis.
At last he said that Merely issuing statements and expecting Yunus to act on them would be naive on the part of India. It is high time that New Delhi takes off its gloves and forces Yunus to act. The party people who were present at the time of protest were Abhishek, Bantu, Ganesh, Raju, Kalu, Prem, Naresh, Gautum, Arun, Shiva and various others.TDD
