Jammu,(DD): A heated exchange took place in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly today when Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather reprimanded NC MLA Altaf Kaloo for objecting to supplementary questions raised by BJP legislator Balwant Mankotia.
As Mankotia attempted to ask a follow-up question, Kaloo interrupted, prompting a sharp reaction from the Speaker. “Don’t teach me,” Rather retorted, silencing the NC lawmaker.
The confrontation occurred while Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Javaid Dar, was responding to queries on behalf of Education Minister Sakina Ittoo. The incident reflects the charged atmosphere in the Assembly as lawmakers engage in intense debates on governance issues.(DD)
