Kishtwar,TDD,The District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO)/Deputy Commissioner of Kishtwar, Sh. Rajesh Kumar Shavan (JKAS), convened a review meeting to assess the Special Summary Revision of the Panchayat Electoral Roll in District Kishtwar.
This revision aims to ensure an accurate and up-to-date electoral roll for the upcoming Panchayat elections, supporting a transparent and fair democratic process at the grassroots level.
During the meeting, the DPEO Kishtwar discussed key stages of the revision process, which include adding new eligible voters, updating voter information, and removing ineligible entries. Officers were directed to prioritize accuracy and efficiency in verifying entries and to conduct outreach to inform citizens of their right to participate in the democratic process.
The Officer emphasized the importance of engaging local communities and ensuring that eligible residents, especially those newly eligible, are registered and able to exercise their voting rights.
He also instructed relevant officials to promptly address any discrepancies or grievances that may arise.

The DPEO emphasized for 100% coverage of all eligible persons in the voter list and asked BDOs to make error free voter list.
