Udhampur, TDD :- In a large election rally held at Modi Ground in Udhampur, Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, delivered a compelling address highlighting the region’s significant developments under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Dr Singh emphasized that Udhampur has been ranked among the top three districts nationwide for rural road construction under the central Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) scheme.

He also pointed out that under the “One District One Product” initiative, the local food specialty “Kalari” has been identified as a unique product. Furthermore, Udhampur achieved the distinction of being the first district in Jammu and Kashmir to reach full saturation in the distribution of Ayushman Bharat health cards.

The Minister didn’t hold back in his criticism of previous Governments accusing the Congress and National Conference governments of discriminating against the region. He argued that this discrimination stemmed from Udhampur being a BJP stronghold, which did not align with their vote bank politics. Dr Singh further emphasized the positive impact of the abrogation of Article 370, stating that it has granted new rights to the women of the region.

In a scathing attack on the opposition, Dr Singh accused the Congress of engaging in divisive politics. He contrasted this with Prime Minister Modi’s approach, praising the latter for ensuring equal rights, justice, and development for all citizens, regardless of their caste or religion.
This statement underscored the BJP’s narrative of inclusive growth and development, positioning it as a party that transcends traditional vote bank politics in favor of universal progress.TDD
