Drug Control Authority Conducts 48 Inspections in Anantnag; Violators Penalized

Anantnag,DD: The Drug Control Department Anantnag carried out extensive inspections across the district on Tuesday, targeting medical sale establishments to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and proper medicine handling.

On the directions of Deputy commissioner Anantnag, Drug control deptt Anantnag, carried out a series of inspections across multiple areas in district Anantnag.

over 48 inspections were conducted at medical sale establishments in qazigund Khahbazar, Shairbagh .
Teams of Drug Control Officers found most shops in compliance with surveillance equipment guidelines and the computerized billing system.

However, the operation of one medical shop namely Universal Medical store was suspended on the spot due to non maintenance of proper records of schedule H1 medicines.

The Drug control department Anantanag also ensured strict implementation of revised GST slab and directed the directed the chemists to provide full benefit of new GST slab to consumers and any chemist /whole seller is found not complying with the directions issued action under rules will be taken against such violators.

The Drug Control Authority remined committed to ensuring the safe and regulated sale and purchase of medicines for general public. (KNC)
